Basking Ridge Natives Inducted into Prestigious Honor Societies, Receive Honors

Basking Ridge natives are receiving honors as academic calendars across the country wind down.

As school years across the country begin winding down, a pair of Basking Ridge natives have received honors at their respective institutions of higher education.

Katherine McColgan has been named to the Champlain College Dean’s List for the spring 2015 semester. In order to be eligible for Dean’s List honors, students must have achieved a semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher. McColgan is persuing a degree in communication at Champlain College, located in Burlington, Vermont.

Additionally, Thomas Gambino was recently inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, one of the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor societies for all academic disciplines, at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. He is among 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be intitiated into the honor society each year.

Membership requires invitation, nomination and approval from a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of senior students and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for induction.
