Basking Ridge Natives Inducted into Prestigious Honor Society

Two township natives were among a handful of students inducted into honor societies at the University of Scranton.

A pair of Basking Ridge natives were recently inducted into prestigious honor societies at the University of Scranton, in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Kaitlin Kneafsey, a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, was inducted into Omega Beta Sigma, the women’s business honor society, at the University of Scranton. She was among 32 students from the university inducted into the honor society.

The induction is open to students majoring or minoring in business, have at least sophomore academic standing and students with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher, the university said. Scranton’s honor society was founded in 1982.

The second of two Basking Ridge natives inducted into honor societies at the University of Scranton is Karolina Meisenbacher. Meisenbacher, a junior studying community health education, was recently inducted into Eta Sigma Gamma, the national health education honor society.

Eta Sigma Gamma is open to all community health education majors with a GPA of 3.2 or higher in the major and a minimum GPA of 3.0, according to the university. The University of Scranton’s chapter of Eta Sigma Gamma was founded in 2012.
