Bernards School Board Hires, Accepts Resignations At Meeting

There were several hires, some resignations and a few child care leave requests approved at this meeting.

BERNARDS, NJ — The Bernards Board of Education has accepted the resignation of several teachers and hired others, according to the board's minutes posted online. The meeting was June 3.

Much of the meeting was par for the course, but the Personnel Committee Report was especially long. There was a retirement, several resignations and several hires.

Lynn Barrueco, a school aid at Oak Street, has retired.

The board accepted resignations from: Frank Caccavale, Technology Education Teacher; Jaclyn Ryan, Instructional Support at Cedar Hill; Mary Ellen Peters, Secretary at Ridge High; Pamela Geist, Instructional Aide at Mount Prospect; Anne Snyder, Instructional Aide at Mount Prospect School.

While they let some folks go, the Bernards Board of Education made several hires and per diem appointments, too. Here's who they hired: Anthony Bispo, Director of Facilities; Clayton Beyert, Music Teacher at Ridge High School; Timothy Dechert, Behavioral Disabilities Teacher at William Annin Middle School.

On per diem are: Allison Deakyne, Special Education Teacher at William Annin Middle School; Nicole Economy, Education Technology District Wide.

Bispo, TapInto reported, will bring in an income of $140,000 annually.

They also approved several child care leave requests and a family leave request, alongside extra-curricular assignments, student placements, substitute teachers and more.
