Chipotle Coming to Basking Ridge This Summer

Those Basking Ridge residents who have a hankering for quick Mexican food will not have to wait much longer.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, a chain of restaurants in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, which specializes in burritos, tacos and more, will be opening in Basking Ridge later this year. It will occupy the space where the Persian Team Room used to be located, at 25 Mountainview Blvd. in Basking Ridge, according to a report from TAPinto.net.

Chipotle has listed job opportunities on its website for the Basking Ridge location.

“At Chipotle we don’t have multiple job titles for our entry level employees but all of our crew will play the role of dishwasher, cashier, server, host, bartender, cook, prep cook, etc. so be prepared to learn a lot and work hard if you join the team,” the restaurant said.

“Most of the jobs that we are hiring for are entry level positions. If you are interested in interviewing for a restaurant general manager or assistant restaurant manager position and have previous restaurant management experience you can search our careers page for more opportunities as we may have some of those positions available,” Chipotle added. “Most of these management positions are filled internally but there are some exceptions.”

The grand opening of the Basking Ridge Chipotle is estimated to be by the end of May or early June, according to TAPinto.net.

Chipotle, which has more than 1,600 locations, markets itself using the idea of “Food With Integrity.” According to the restaurant’s website the idea is defined as, “Now we want to know the sources for all of our ingredients, so that we can be sure they are as flavorful as possible while we are mindful of the environmental and societal impact of our business.”
