The local Tea Party organization last week featured Steve Lonegan at its meeting. Lonegan opposed Chris Christie in the last Republican primary for state governor. He also is N.J. director of Americans for Prosperity.

The Basking Ridge Tea Party, organized last year, now includes hundreds of members from the township and nearby towns, its organizers said. 

The  Guardian Angels recently have been filling the gaps in areas where budget cuts have impacted law enforcement, according to recent reports.
