Man Toddler Alone In Car At Local Bar: Police
A California Man was arrested on Friday after he allegedly left a 3-year-old alone in a vehicle as he drank at a Somerset County bar.

A 47-year-old Los Angeles, Calif. Man was arrested and charged with child endangerment on Friday after he allegedly left a 3-year-old alone in a vehicle as he drank at a Bound Brook bar.
It was just before 8 p.m. when police say they received a report of a young child being left alone in a silver Infiniti SUV parked on Hamilton Street. Responding officers later found the driver of the vehicle, Theophilus M. Ammons, in a nearby bar.
“The investigation revealed that defendant Ammons left the 3 year old child in the running SUV for approximately 40 minutes while he consumed alcoholic beverages inside the bar,” according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

The child’s mother, a Bound Brook Resident, was contacted by police and responded to police headquarters to take custody of her daughter.

He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail with bail set at $75,000, cash only.
