Friday Night Football Debuts!

What's the best thing about fall and heading back to school?

Arguably, it's football games, meeting up with friends, hearing the marching band raise the energy level of the crowd...and, even watching the game!

Ridge High School's Red Devils will open their season at 7 p.m. this Friday with an away game at Montgomery High School in Skillman.

Recently, the Next week, the Red Devils will face rivals Immaculata High School in a home game on Sept. 14.

Captains this year are Tyler Ord, Evan Skea, Sean Menarguez and Frank Ciongoli.

Bernards High football fans won't have to head any further than their home football turf for tonight's opening game at 7 p.m. against Jonathan Dayton High School.

Captains for the Mountaineers this season are Zach DeLeon, Jon Diamond, Johnny Maddaluna and Devin Ray, according to the high school's athletic director, Michael Hoppe.
