New Officer Hired In Bernards Township, Replaces Retiring Officer
The new officer will officially begin on Sept. 1.

The Bernards Township Committee has approved the hiring of Rhys Marten, currently an officer on the Chester Borough police force, for the township’s 38-member police department.
Marten will officially begin on Sept. 1 with a starting salary of $50,000. He will replace retiring Patrol Officer Dan Snyder, who will retire on Oct. 1, according to TAP into Basking Ridge.
