Postal Annex+'s New Owner Adds Services

Basking Ridge resident Walter Pardo had already established himself as a wealth adviser and as a CPA-certified tax practitioner before acquiring Postal Annex+ at Dewy Meadow Village shopping center off King George Road in the southern part of the township.

Pardo said he became new owner on Feb. 25, acquiring the store located at 411 King George Road between the A&P supermarket and Ridge Fine Wines from an owner who had opened the business in 2006.

Now, Pardo said he has expanded the services available at the postal annex franchise, which already sells other products, which can serve the needs of other businesses and well as the general public.

"It's more than just selling a product — we are selling solutions," Pardo said in his new store this week, as he took a break from tax season.

For example, he said that a business can come to his Postal Annex+ and find everything from bookkeeping to marketing, to copying, labeling and packaging as well as shipping.

"We can do branding for businesses," Pardo said. For example, he said one client has begun using Postal Annex+ as a shipping and distribution center, after scaling back from having a separate distribution center for the business.

Financial Partners and WFP Tax Partners, so when the opportunity to own the store came up, I decided to jump on it,” Pardo said. “Owning the PostalAnnex+ gives me another way to add value to my clients, prospects, and the Basking Ridge community.”

The newly repositioned store also offers many services for the general public. As a special promotion, Pardo said Postal Annex+ is holding a free "shred" day for sensitive documents between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 27.

Pardo said the Basking Ridge Postal Annex+ offers a one-stop solution for many home office and business service needs; shipping through UPS, FedEx, DHL and the USPS, private mailbox rental, packaging and shipping supplies, notary public, printing and copying services, office supplies and more.

And then, as per the PostalAnnex+ approach, the store also sells bedroom slippers — and "good karma" novelties that are part of the San Diego-based franchise's signature products, Pardo said.

Pardo still is running Wealth Financial Partners and WFP Tax Partners full time, and Glenn Redgate is managing the Basking Ridge PostalAnnex+.

Redgate had been Pardo's client relationship manager for about four years, and prior to working at Wealth Financial Partners, he had been the manager of a high end steakhouse.

Pardo described Redgate as "a people person with great attention to detail...I know he will help provide the most creative solution for all of our customers.”

Pardo said he and Redgate have big plans for the Basking Ridge PostalAnnex+, and want to become a greater part of the community by hosting community events such as the April 27 shredding day, co-hosting with Wealth Financial Partners.

There are also plans in the works for other events like networking parties, charity events and more, according to Pardo, along with existing products and services.
