Ridge Girls Lacrosse Slams Montgomery to Move Onto County Final
Girls lacrosse tallies up another high score for semifinal game victory.
The Ridge High School varsity lacrosse girls team carried their lead through Saturday's Somerset County Tournament semifinal game against Montgomery to a final 18-8 victory at Ridge's Lee Field.
The team, now 13-2 for the season, moves onto the final game of the county tournament, due to be played at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Bridgewater-Raritan. The Red Devils will play the winner of Saturday's other semifinal matchup between Hillsborough and The Pingry School.
Top scorers were Sam Brown, with 3 goals and five assists; and Izzy Behrins and Meagan Quigley, each with 4 goals and two assists.

Ridge Goalie Tara Cuddihy accomplished 15 saves, according to the stats.
After the game, Head Coach Laurie Anthony encouraged the girls to go out on Tuesday with an attitude that they want to win.

"We went into this game really pumped and excited," Samantha Brown said following Saturday's win.
"It gives us confidence going into the finals that we could come back to win by so much," Brown said. She said a previous game against Montgomery had been the Ridge girls LAX team's first defeat of the season. The only other loss this season was against Pingry, she added.
