Sloan Kettering in Basking Ridge Sponsors Skin Cancer Screening
Appointments needed for free skin cancer screening scheduled for two days in early May.

In honor of National Melanoma and Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Basking Ridge will be holding
free skin cancer screenings this Thursday, May 2, and next Monday, May 6.
Screenings are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call 908-542-3400.
The screenings will be held in the Dermatology Suite on the second floor at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center at Basking Ridge, 136 Mountain View Blvd., Basking Ridge.

Screenings can be scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday. Next Monday's time slots are between 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., and 3:15 to 4:30 p.m.
Individuals at increased risk for skin cancer are most likely to benefit from screening, according to information from Sloan Kettering.

Risk factors for skin cancer include family history of melanoma among two or more blood relatives: multiple atypical moles, and numerous actinic keratoses, which are scaly patches of skin, gray to pink in color, on sun-exposed areas of the body.
