Somerset County Native Makes Top 20 On 'The Voice'
Amy Vachal lost her knockout round Monday night, but was quickly swooped up by Adam Levine to keep her in the competition.

“And we have a steal!”
Carson Daly, host of NBC’s The Voice, shouted the phrase Monday night as Somerset County’s Amy Vachal moved in to the top 20 contestants on the talent show, now in its ninth season.
Vachal, 26, of Franklin, actually lost her Knockout round after her performance of “A Sunday Kind Of Love,” but was quickly swooped up when both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton fought to steal her. Going “with her gut,” Vachal decided on Adam Levine, who she dubbed as one of her musical heroes.

In an Instagram post following the episode, Vachal wrote:
Took this minutes after the #voiceknockouts in total disbelief…stolen by one of my top musical heroes… bringing me to the Live #VoicePlayoffs. Still can’t believe this is real life. Overwhelmed with gratitude for all your love and support through this! And thank you for DL the studio version of #asundaykindoflove - I remember limping out of the studio with nothing left in me! This has been the most challenging and mind blowing journey up to this point and I’m just so grateful for this continued chance and for all of you beyond description.
