Somerset County Takes Diversity Festival Virtual

Somerset County's Diversity Festival will continue this year with a full virtual program

BASKING RIDGE, NJ—The second annual Somerset County Diversity Festival will begin Thursday, with a full program of virtual activities and events.

This year’s theme, “Somerset County—Everyone Belongs Here," is the message that will be woven throughout the festival.

"Somerset County welcomes—and is home to—a diverse population of promising individuals from around the world," said a county announcement. "Residents from all backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities are one of the county’s greatest assets and has helped form unique and vibrant communities within the county."

Activities include a poster contest for students, a virtual resource library for finding diversity-related books and information, and a virtual guided tour of diverse cultures in Somerset County. Participants will also have a chance to share diversity stories, resources, contacts, events, and programs that honor and celebrate Somerset County’s diverse population.

To commemorate the event and Global Diversity Awareness Month, interactive activities will be available virtually the Somerset County's Diversity website throughout October.
