Student Golfing, Legos at Library and Free Concert on Tuesday

Bernards Township Committee meeting also scheduled for Tuesday evening.

Are you a Bernards Township student, somewhere between the age of 14 and 23, who loves to golf?

If so, if you have a little time and want to get out on the municipal Coakley-Russo Memorial Golf Course, off Valley Road, you can try out the nine-hole course even if you are not a member, or accompanied by a member.

Experienced student golfers, ages 14 – 23, are welcome to play at the weekday student guest fee of $15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer, without member accompaniment. Students must present a valid student ID, report card, or enrollment form to verify status before they hit the links.

Further information is available by calling 908-204-3003, or by checking the Bernards Township website.

Meanwhile, rain or shine, Jimmy & the Parrots, with their brand of island music, is scheduled to present the third performance in the Bernards Township Parks & Recreation Department's 2013 Jayne Hannigan Summer Concert series at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night.

The performance at Pleasant Valley Park off Valley Road is free, and is open to anyone from the public.

Concert-goers are urged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs, and refreshments _ or dancing shoes.

In case of rain, the concert will be moved indoors to the Ridge High School Performing Arts Center at 268 S. Finley Ave. in Basking Ridge.
