Aqua NJ Hydrant Flushing May Affect Water Pressure In Berkeley

BERKELEY, NJ — Fire hydrant flushing has begun throughout Bayville in areas serviced by Aqua NJ.

Flushing will occur between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. throughout October until Nov. 4.

• Section 1 – Oct. 6 - 14
• Section 2 – Estimated to begin Oct. 18 – 22
• Section 3 – Estimated to begin Oct. 20- 29
• Oct. 29 – Nov. 4 ( in case of any delays/or need to revisit any area)

This schedule may change due to weather or operational issues.

Aqua NJ said residents may experience discolored water or low water pressure while flushing is happening.

While crews are working in one area, bordering streets can also be affected as Aqua NJ completes the required operation of valves/opening the hydrants.
