Bayville Man Charged With Reckless Driving Had 2 Handguns: Police
A Bayville man who was pulled over for reckless driving faces charges for possessing two fully loaded handguns, Lakehurst police said.

LAKEHURST, NJ — A Bayville man who was pulled over for reckless driving faces charges for possessing two fully loaded handguns, Lakehurst police said.
On Thursday, Officer Gavin Cecchini was on patrol during a traffic enforcement detail along with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
Just before 8:30 p.m., Cecchini conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle that was driving erratically, police said.

Cecchini found the driver, identified as Jonathan T. Cutler, 45, of Bayville, was in possession of a 9mm handgun in his waistband. Officers were able to place him under arrest without incident.
Police found an additional 9mm handgun and a ballistic vest/body armor inside Cutler’s vehicle. Both handguns were fully loaded with hollow point ammunition.

Cutler was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of hollow point ammunition, possession of a large capacity magazine, certain person not to possess a firearm, disorderly person, reckless driving, failure to signal, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, window tint.
Cutler was remanded to the Ocean County Jail. Assisting on scene was Lt. Iain James.
