Bayville's Blessing Of The Fleet Canceled Today Due To Rain

BAYVILLE, NJ - The Berkeley Shores Homeowners Civic Association has reluctantly cancelled the popular Memorial Day Blessing of the Fleet because of the nasty weather.

The association's annual picnic at Amherst Beach is also cancelled due to the rain and expected thunderstorms today, association President Keith Ruscitti said.

"For these same reasons, along with numerous logistical and personnel issues, we are unable to have the picnic on Monday as well," Ruscitti in a Facebook post. "Thank you to all who volunteered their time and energies in preparing for this event this year. We will look forward to better weather in 2019."
