Beachwood Woman Charged With Aggravated Assault After Bar Knifing

The woman was also charged with possession of a weapon, police said.

Beachwood police have charged a borough woman with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose after she assaulted three patrons with a knife, according to app.com.

Borough police said they went to the Beachwood Pub on Atlantic City Boulevard shortly before 1 a.m. on an assault report. Bar patrons told the officers what happened, the report states.

"It was determined that two females engaged in a verbal, then physical altercation and at some point a third female became involved," according to a statement from police Lt. Glen DeMarco. "During the fight one of the females brandished an knife and two females received non-life threatening injuries. A male subject who attempted to break up the altercation also received a laceration to his arm."

The woman police believe was waving the knife, Danielle Oram, 29, Beachwood also received a possible broken ankle during the incident, police said.

"The initial investigation revealed that the females had a prior history with each other, which may have sparked the initial verbal confrontation," DeMarco said.

Medics from Beachwood First Aid took the injured to the hospital. Additional charges may be pending, DeMarco said.
