A Beautiful But Chilly Day Ahead For Ocean County Beaches

There's a moderate risk of rip currents today, ocean water is still fairly cold, National Weather Service says

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ - Skies will be sunny all day at Ocean County beaches, but air and water temperatures continue to be cool for this time of the year.

Air temperatures today will only be in the upper 60s. The ocean water temperature is still at a chilly 61 degrees.

There's also a moderate risk of rip currents today. It's difficult to find a guarded beach on the weekdays before schools let out for the summer, but that should change later this month. Never swim on an unguarded beach and never swim alone or at night.
