Berkeley Cops: Barnegat Woman Charged With Drunk Driving On Dock

Donna L. Marie, 66, was also charged with careless driving

BAYVILLE, NJ - Berkeley police recently arrested a Barnegat woman after she was reported driving drunk on a boat dock on Harbor Court, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman Timothy Pizzella and Patrolman Sean Varady responded to the address on March 20. They found the vehicle in the rear of the property stuck near the bulkhead facing the Toms River, the chief said.

When they interviewed the driver, Donna L. Marie, 66, Barnegat, they detected a strong odor of alcohol and asked her to take field sobriety tests. She was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to police headquarters, DiMichele said.
