Berkeley Farmers' Market Opens For The Season Today

The market will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Recreation Department parking lot on Route 9 in Bayville every Tuesday into fall

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Need some fresh produce and other items and don't feel like waiting in line at a store?

Well, you don't have to. Come to the Berkeley Township Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the township Recreation Center's parking lot on Route 9 in Bayville today.

"Your support is critical in making this a success," Mayor Carmen F. Amato Jr. said. "Please come on out and support your local vendors."

The market will be held every Tuesday from today through October. The hours have been extended a hour from last year, the mayor said.

"Local vendors from around the area, including our own Moore's Farm Market, will be on hand selling Jersey’ Fresh produce and other items of interest," the mayor said.

And while you're there, stop in at the Berkeley Township Historical Society museum - the former Town Hall -right next door to learn about Berkeley's history. You can also buy a Save the Bayville Dinosaur T-shirt while visiting the museum.
