Berkeley Police Arrest Bayville Man Found On Abandoned Property

Robert Scott, 46, had $2,850 in two outstanding warrants, police chief says

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Berkeley police recently arrested a Bayville man on two outstanding warrants after a caller reported a suspicious person at an abandoned property on Longview Drive, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman D.J. Williams and Patrolman Brian Flanegan responded to the home on April 7, after a caller reported that an unknown man was on the property, which was abandoned, the chief said.

The officers found Robert Scott, 46, Grouse Drive when they arrived. They discovered that he had active warrants out of South Toms River and Chesterfield Township totaling $2,850 Scott was processed at police headquarters and turned over to the South Toms River police department.
