Berkeley Police Arrest Jackson Man On Drug Charges, Hindering

Michael Suerser, 22, taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, police chief says.

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Berkeley police recently arrested a Jackson man after a foot chase in Holiday City, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolmen Michael Tanis and Derek Mayer stopped Michael Suerser, 22, Jackson at the intersection of Jamaica Boulevard and Nostrand Drive on Feb. 7 after they received a report of a suspicious person, the chief said,

Suerser fled on foot, but was later captured near the intersection of Bananier Drive and Jamaica Boulevard. They discovered he was hiding heroin, Seroquel and hypodermic needles. Suerser was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of hypodermic needles, Seroqutieb, and hindering.

He also had a criminal warrant and was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.
