Berkeley Police To Crack Down On 'Aggressive Panhandling' In Town
There will be an increased police presence at the Berkeley Plaza and the Bayville Quick, police chief says

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - For several weeks now, some residents have reported they have been approached by people asking for money or following them in the parking lot of the Berkeley Plaza and the Bayville Quick Check.
So Berkeley police will beef up security to combat the "aggressive panhandling" residents have complained about, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.
"We have since stepped up security in the area to identify all suspicious persons that appear to be harassing patrons," the chief said.
