Berkeley Police Investigating Theft Of $30,000 In Items From Boat

Incident happened on April 30.

Berkeley police are investigating the theft of almost $30,000 in items stolen from a boat on Stollman Street in Bayville, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman Edward LaGreca responded at 9:53 a.m on April 30 on a report of items stolen from a boat. The victim told police that sometime between Nov. 9, 2016 and April 30, 2017, someone removed the boat cover to gain access. They took the GPS, boat cover, boat outboards, steering cylinder, tie bars, drive showers and four blade propellors, the chief said.

Detective Michael O’Connor responded and processed the scene. Possible suspects were obtained, DiMichele said.
