Berkeley Seeks Vendors For Community Pride Day
Berkeley's Community Pride Day on Saturday, Sept. 11 will have music, vendors, fireworks and a 9/11 wreath ceremony by Berkeley Police.

BERKELEY, NJ — Live bands, local businesses and civic organizations will be on hand to celebrate Berkeley Township's anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 11.
Community Pride Day will be held in Veteran's Park at 489 Forest Hills Parkway in Bayville from 2 to 9 p.m. Nonprofit groups will be selling food throughout the day.
Berkeley will also honor the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks at 5 p.m. with a wreath laying dedication by the Berkeley Township Police Department and a speech from Mayor Carmen Amato.

Anyone wishing to participate in the ceremony can call the Recreation Center or email Debbi Winogracki at dwinogracki@berkeleytownship.org.
A DJ will play music throughout the day before live music kicks off at 6 p.m. Stiletto & the Saxman will sing the hits of doo-wop, the Rat Pack, popular standards and more, followed by New Power Soul performing at 7:30 pm. The 9-piece band performs high energy songs from R&B, alternative, classic rock, 80's and top 40 hits.

Fireworks will cap off the day-long event at 9 p.m. Attendees should bring chairs or a blanket.
Berkeley is still seeking vendors to participate in the event. Registration forms can be found online at www.BTREC.org or call the Recreation Department for more information at 732-269-4456.
