Central Regional’s Freshman Orientation Will Be Held Virtually
Due to ongoing construction in the high school, Central Regional freshman orientation will be held virtually next week instead of in person.
BERKELEY, NJ — The Central Regional School District announced that its class of 2025 freshman orientation will be held virtually next week.
In a letter to the school community, Superintendent Triantafillos Parlapanides said the in-person orientation initially scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled and replaced with a virtual tour due to ongoing construction in the high school.
The virtual orientation will be available on the district website on Sept. 1, according to a district announcement. Parlapanides said the tour can also be viewed on Channel 21 and YouTube.

He and the board of education have sent letters to Murphy and passed a resolution requesting that masks be optional for the upcoming school year.
“Although we are hopeful that the Governor will lift Executive Order 251, we have no choice but to enforce his Order to be in compliance with as legally required by law," Parlapanides wrote. "We ask for your consideration and to respect our position at this time."
