Central Regional Students Shelter In Place Due To Brownout

Middle and High School students will stay in the shelter until buses arrive

BAYVILLE, NJ Central Regional school administrators say that Middle and High school students are sheltering in place due to an electrical brownout, according to a brief post on the district's website.

The students will stay in the shelter until buses arrive to take them home, the post states. All afterschool activities are cancelled, according to Berkeley police.

High School students were dismissed at 1:30. Middle being dismissed starting 1:30. Middle School students will be dismissed around 2:30 p.m.

Temperatures in Bayville Thursday afternoon have hovered around 90 degrees. The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for the day that expires at 7 p.m. tonight.
