Coastal Monmouth County Beach Report For June 21, 2017

Mostly sunny skies are forecast for today, but there's still a moderate risk of rip currents.

The National Weather Service is predicting partly sunny skies today with a high of around 80 degrees.

But there is still a moderate risk of rip currents, which means you should always swim within sight of lifeguards. Never swim alone or at night. Always check with your local beach patrols before heading into the surf. The NWS suggests you bring a floatation device with you when you go into the water.

Wave heights have decreased since earlier this week and will only be around two feet, with southerly swells of two feet. The water is still a chilly 64 degrees. Winds will be from the southwest at 10 to 15 miles per hour.
