Mostly sunny, cool temperatures, low rip current risk forecast for today.

It looks like a nice beach day today, if you're lucky enough to have the day off.
The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 70s. Winds will be from the northeast at five miles per hour, becoming southerly in the afternoon.
The rip current risk today is low, but rips can still occur especially near jetties and other structures. Always swim within sight of lifeguards and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you always bring a flotation device with you in the water.

Waves will be around three feet, with southerly swells around two feet. The water temperature is still a chilly 64 degrees.
Ultraviolet index is a 10, which the National Weather Service considers very high. There is no lightning threat.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet rolled in at 6:38 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 12:50 p.m., followed by another high tide at 7:03 p.m.
