BERKELEY, NJ — Bayville salon owner Michele Fury was among several “Drew-Gooders” who were invited to be on “The Drew Barrymore Show."
During an episode that aired Monday, Drew Barrymore and celebrity stylists gave makeovers to 25 women who have been making a difference in their communities, including Fury.
In Bayville, Fury has been donating 10 percent of her sales at Hair Fantasy to cover the cost of hair dye and makeup for anyone who has fallen on hard times this past year.

Fury has been paying it forward after her own salon struggled throughout the pandemic amid closures and capacity restrictions. Hair Fantasy had only been open for six months when Fury had to close the salon in March 2020.
“We opened up right before the pandemic and we were closed, and I didn’t think we were going to open up again because I only had one or two dates with my clients,” Fury said during the episode. “We did open up in June and we were doing well and we wanted to give back to the community and essential workers so we offered free makeovers. Hair and makeup will really change you.”

Fury, who has worked in salons for 26 years, told Patch recently that she understands what many people are going through and wants to help them get back on their feet.
The salon recently gave a makeover to a woman whose sister passed away and is now looking after her nephew.
"I can empathize with what she's going through. When you're taking care of someone sick, you forget about yourself," Fury said.
"The Drew Barrymore Show" invited Fury to be on the show after its producers found an article about the salon's offer. Read more: Bayville Salon Continues To Help People 'Push Forward'
Zanna Roberts Rassi, a fashion stylist and co-founder of Milk Makeup, gave Fury a makeover during the segment and demonstrated a few simple makeup techniques.
