Fundraiser Planned For Veteran Ailing Berkeley Police Officer
Former Detective John Sullivan is battling pancreatic cancer.

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Retired Berkeley Police Detective John Sullivan spent over 25 years serving the residents of Berkeley Township. He was an expert in interview, interrogation and statement analysis and was admired by many.
"His experience and expertise have helped solve numerous serious crimes in both Berkeley and other jurisdictions," a post on the department's Facebook page states. "John has also trained many police officers and detectives as an instructor at the police academy. He is loved and respected by all who know him."
And now John Sullivan is ill, very ill. He is battling pancreatic cancer. His fellow officers and the Berkeley Township PBA 237 are planning a fundraiser to help with expenses on June 9 at the Bayville Elks Lodge.
