A Lion Is Lost And Found In Bayville

Kaylin Tegen is holding the stuffed animal until its owner comes forward

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - "Found lion."

The post on the Bayville...Best Place on Earth Facebook page is not your standard lost or found pet plea for help.

But resident Kaylin Tegen wants to make sure the "clearly housebroken" stuffed animal is returned to its proper owner.

"Seems tired and a bit nervous," she wrote.

Well, who wouldn't be if they'd been left off Route 9, between the Bayville Dinosaur and the little white church, exposed to the elements and traffic for who knows how long?

The cuddly creature is not microchipped. He has no collar or tags.

"Whoever his mommy or daddy is must be so worried," she wrote. "We're keeping him warm and well-stuffed til we can reunite this king of the 'ville with his companion."

As you can see in the photo, Tegen is making sure her furry guest stays hydrated.

If you are the lion's owner or know who he belongs to, please contact Tegen on her Facebook page., or the Bayville...Best Place on Earth Facebook page.
