Patient Groped Nurse At Jersey Shore Rehab, Prosecutor Says
David Taber touched the nurse's breast and tried to pull down her pants while she was giving meds at Crystal Lake, officials said.
BERKELEY, NJ — A Berkeley man who was a patient at Crystal Lake Rehabilitation Facility inappropriately touched a nurse who was trying to administer medicine to him, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.
David Taber, 67, was found guilty of criminal sexual contact on March 5 following a nearly week-long jury trial, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
On March 22, 2023, shortly before 7 p.m., the female nurse was trying to give medicine to Taber, Billhimer said.

Taber touched the nurse's breast without her consent, placed her in a bear-hug and then tried to pull down her pants, Billhimer said. A co-worker intervened and separated the two.
Taber will be sentenced on May 9, where he faces up to 18 months in prison, Billhimer said.
