No Problems At Central Regional Walkout, Police Chief, Super Say
About 100 high school and middle school students gathered today to protest gun violence in schools and call for stricter firearm laws.

BAYVILLE, NJ - Roughly 100 Central Regional high school and middle school students took part in the nationwide walk out to protest gun violence in schools, call for stricter firearm laws and remember students murdered in Parkland, FL last month.
"We planned ahead, in conjunction with Central Regional, to have a large presence at the schools today," Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said. "This allowed the students to demonstrate peacefully in a safe environment."
Schools Superintendent Triantafillos Parlapanides was grateful to have the police there.

"Chief DiMichele had additional officers...to keep students safe," he said. "She is an asset to the community and schools. We only had about 100 students in the middle school and high school walk out. It was very smooth and uneventful."
