No Snow Expected For Seaside Heights St. Patrick's Day Parade
Frigid temperatures, very windy, according to the National Weather Service

The good news is you won't be stepping over any snow drifts for the Seaside Heights St. Patrick's Day.
The bad news is the high temperature for parade time at noon may top just 30 degrees, if that. Add in blustery winds from the northwest at 14 to 21 miles per hour and it's hold onto your hat time.
The parade is sandwiched into between a snowy Friday and a storm expected early next week, according to the National Weather Service. The latest storm is set to start on Monday night.

Officers from a number of area police departments will conduct traffic enforcement details on Route 35 and Route 37 on March 11, to deal with the heavy traffic expected from the parade.
The detail perimeters include Route 35 from Seaside Park Borough to Point Pleasant Beach and Route 37 from Seaside Heights to Manchester. The initiative includes 10 Ocean County municipalities that intersect with Route 35 and Route 37.

The parade kicks off at noon on the Boulevard in Seaside Heights and will run until 3 p.m. Businesses and restaurants will be open along the boardwalk.
Well-known area businessman Timothy E. Ryan will be the 33-year-old parade's first grand marshal. But the event is not all about his heritage. Ryan will also be representing another group - cancer sufferers, past and present. He has fought an eight-year fight with leukemia.
"I will not let leukemia dictate what I will and can't do!, he said. "For all cancer fighters I will be heading the parade for all of them. Living and dead."
