NWS: Fire Threat Continues In Ocean County Today

Gusty winds, warm temperatures, low humidity levels make for a dangerous combination, National Weather Service says

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ Weather conditions are ripe for the possibility of wildfires today, according the National Weather Service.

The relative humidity levels will continue to drop into the low to mid 20s this afternoon. West to southwest wind gusts of 20 to 25 miles per hour are expected to continue to dry the fine fuels on forest floors.

"As a result, there will be enhanced threat for fire spread today," the NWS says.
