Pine Beach 5K Coming Up On Sunday
The 3.1 mile course starts and ends at Vista Park in Pine Beach

The Ocean Running Club will hold its 18th annual Pine Beach 5k and one-mile fun run at Vista Park in Pine Beach on Sunday.
All proceeds will benefit the Ocean Running Club Scholarship Fund for local high school students, according to the race website.
The 5k race will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. The one-mile fun run will start at 8 a.m. and end at 9:30 a.m.

The fast, scenic, USATF certified 3.1 mile course starts and finishes at Vista Park. Run along the Toms River and the quiet streets of Pine Beach. There will be two water stops for runnings along the course. No skates, blades, bikes or pets are allowed.
There will be an awards ceremony and refreshments after the race at the Vista Park field.

5K Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female runners, as well as top three M/F runners in 5-year age groups: 14 and under through 80-plus.
There will be special awards for first male and female Pine Beach Resident, and first male and female Ocean Running Club Member.
5K Race Walk Awardswill be given to the top three male and female finishers. One Mile Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers, with ribbons for all finishers.
There will also be random giveaways after the race, including a custom road bike from Beachwood Bicycles.
