Rip Current Risk Low For First Day Of Memorial Day Weekend
There's a low risk of rip currents today, but storms are on the way

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ - Visitors to Ocean County beaches today can expect a low risk of rip currents and chilly water temperatures at the start of the Memorial Day weekend.
The National Weather Service says wind and wave conditions are not expected to support enchanced rip currents. But the surf temperature will be a chilly 58 degrees.
However, rip currrents are always possible, especially near jetties and other structures. Never swim on an unguarded beach and always have a flotation device with you when you go in.
