Rip Current Risk Is Lower Today, But Surf Will Still Be Rough

Skies will be mostly sunny today with a moderate risk of rip currents

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower 80s today.

The chance of rip currents is moderate today, better than yesterday, but you should always check with local beach patrols before heading into the water. Always swim with sight of a lifeguard and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a floatation device with you in the water.

Wave heights will be around five feet, with southerly swells of two to three feet. The water temperature is still a chilly 65 degrees. Winds will be from the southwest around 15 miles per hour.
