Sandy Housing Recovery Center To Move To Toms River On June 1

The center is for people in various state aid programs who are still rebuilding after Superstorm Sandy

TOMS RIVER, NJ - The Housing Recovery Center for Superstorm Sandy victims still embroiled in the state's Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Elevations and Mitigation and other state aid programs will move from Freehold to Toms River on June 1.

"The Toms River office is centrally located for the majority of homeowners in the RREM Program and LMI Homeowners Rebuilding Program who have yet to finish rebuilding," according to the state Department of Community Affairs.

The last day the Freehold HRC will be open is April 30, 2018. All existing HRC staff and functions will be relocated to 236 Main Street, 2nd floor, Toms River, NJ, 08753.

Some homeowners may recognize the Toms River office, which was already being used as an alternative location for meetings with housing advisors. Clients can still contact housing advisors by phone, either in Toms River or Newark.

The DCA also has convenient meeting locations in Atlantic and Monmouth counties where clients can meet with their housing advisors closer to their homes. If necessary, the DCA will arrange for a housing advisor to come to your home.

Although clients' primary contact should be their project managers and housing advisors, if you need more help you can call the DCA's Sandy Constituent Services has experienced represent who can help you.
