Two Bayville Women Among Those Charged In Manchester Drug Busts

MANCHESTER, NJ - Citizen complaints sparked a massive investigation by police that led to the arrest of 13 Ocean County residents, including two Bayville residents, involved in drug activity in three areas of town, Capt. Todd Malland said.

The police department's Department's Narcotics Enforcement Team set up surveillance details in Surf & Stream Campground and the retirement communities of Cedar Glen West and Pine Ridge, Malland said.

The arrests in the retirement communities took place on Mallard Street in Cedar Glen West and Winding Brook Way in Pine Ridge South, he said.

Police seized a total of roughly 36 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $3,300, along with various prescription pills, a quantity of marijuana, numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia, and a 2005 Nissan Altima, which is currently pending forfeiture, he said.

Lori Simone, 56, Manchester.

A total of 25 criminal charges were issued that ranged from possession of drug paraphernalia to possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine. All parties were released on summonses and/or posted bail on any outstanding warrants.

The police department's patrol bureau and K-9 Unit also assisted.
