Very Calm Surf Forecast For Ocean County Beaches Today

Low rip current risk, but ocean temperatures still chilly, National Weather Service says

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ - The National Weather Service is calling for very calm seas and partly sunny skies today at Ocean County beaches.

There's a low risk of rip currents, but don't let your guard down. Rips are still possible, especially near jetties and other structures. Most beaches are still unguarded this early in the season. Never swim on an unguarded beach and never swim alone or at night.

The ocean water temperature has yet to warm up. It's still a chilly 59 degrees. Waves today will be around 2 feet, with light swells.
