Bloomfield 7th Grade Girls Win Suburban Essex Basketball Crown

Team claims crown following victory over previously unbeaten Verona.

The Bloomfield 7th Grade Girls Travel Basketball Team won the Suburban Essex Basketball Championship, defeating previously unbeaten Verona 37-23 on February 26 at the Verona Civic Center.

Bloomfield came into the contest down two starters and knowing Verona had handed the Bengals their only losses of the season.

Despite this, the Bengals and Head Coach Christopher Romano were confident going into the game, riding a five game winning streak including an impressive play-off victory versus Livingston in the opening round.
