Bloomfield PD Host April Operation Take Back New Jersey Event

Police are accepting unused, unwanted or expired medications on April 27.

This week, Bloomfield Police announced that on Saturday, April 27, The Department, in conjunction with The Drug Enforcement Administration of New Jersey, will host “Operation Take Back New Jersey."

On that day, residents wishing to dispose of unused, unwanted or expired medications can bring them to the Police Department's headquarters at 1 Municipal Plaza and deposit them into a drop box located at the front desk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,

The program is designed to be anonymous and no questions or requests for identification will be made. Syringes and other sharp objects will not be accepted.

In a press release, police noted that the last time that the Department hosted the event they collected over 33 pounds of medication.
