Woman Assaulted and Robbed on Lawrence Street

ASSAULT and ROBBERY
Dec. 6: A man was assaulted and robbed of his iPhone at the intersection of Glenwood and Maolis avenues by two black men who approached him and demanded his phone.

When the man refused to give up the phone, the men attacked him, took his phone and fled.
Dec. 16: A woman reported a man grabbed her from behind at 24 Lawrence St., covered her mouth and threw her to the ground before demanding her money.

BURGLARY
Residential Burglaries
Dec. 12: A woman living on the 100 block of Spring Street on the second floor said at 12:50 p.m., she saw a Hispanic man approximately 30 years old inside her home.
The man allegedly stole some jewelry and loose change before fleeing.
Police said the suspect entered the apartment by forcing open a door on the second-floor.
Dec. 14: Bloomfield police are looking for someone who entered the rear window of an apartment at 249 Belleville Ave. and stole jewelry, a laptop, a video game system, an iPod and various video games.
Dec. 19: A woman said someone tried to pry open the window of her residence on the 100 block of Floyd Avenue while she was watching television.
The suspect fled after being scared off.
Commercial Burglary
Dec. 15 & 16: Bloomfield police are looking for someone who entered Buildings 2 and 4 at 192 Bloomfield Ave. between 5 p.m. on Dec. 15 and 9 a.m. on Dec. 16.
The suspect(s), who were not seen by a security guard in charge of the property at the time of the burglary, attempted to cut and remove large amounts of copper piping from the buildings.
Dec. 15: Bloomfield police are looking for a small safe containing $300 in cash and two checks totaling $600 that was stolen from 200 Broad Acres Drive.
Dec. 16: Bloomfield police are looking for a Hispanic man who attempted to enter two apartments at 186 Franklin St.
The man was scared off before he could enter the apartments.
Dec. 16: A man on the 100 block of Davis Avenue said he found three window screens pushed up on the left side of his home, but reported no one entered the residence.
Dec. 19: A woman reported someone entered a home at 554 Bloomfield Ave. and stole approximately $300 from the woman’s office.
Dec. 19: Bloomfield police are looking for someone who entered a home on the 100 block of Williamson Avenue through a rear slider door and stole a black iPod Touch, 2 black iPods, a Wii game console and 20 Wii games.
STOLEN VEHICLES
Dec. 7: A 1999 Honda Civic was stolen from165 Franklin St.
Dec. 8: A 1998 Honda was stolen from 140 Orange St.
Dec. 12: A 2006 two-door, black Acura RSX was stolen from 33 Merkel Drive.
Dec. 13: A 2009 white Ford truck was stolen from 60 Orange St.
Dec. 19: A 2000 Honda was stolen from 101 Willow St.
THEFT FROM VEHICLES
Dec. 15: A man said someone smashed the passenger-side window of his car on the 1100 block of Broad Street, entered the car and rummaged through the glove compartment.
The man was not sure if anything was missing.
THEFT
Dec. 7: Bloomfield police are looking for a man who stole approximately $30 in shampoo from 33 Broad St.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
Dec. 16: A woman said someone damaged the roof and hood of her parked car on the 200 block of Harrison Street.

Dec. 9: Arelis Batista of Ridgefield was arrested for DWI.
Dec. 10: Thomas Torre of Newark was arrested for shoplifting.
Dec. 10: Takisha Harrison of East Orange was arrested for contempt.
Dec. 11: Danny Rivera of Newark was arrested for DWI.
Dec. 12: Wan Shu Liu of Flushing, N.Y. was arrested and charged with soliciting for prostitution and performing a massage without a valid permit.
Dec. 12: Darnell Pompey of Orange was arrested for criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
Dec. 12: Robert Gentles of Orange was arrested for criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
Dec. 13: Christopher Chalet of Bloomfield was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Dec. 14: Angel Ayala-Cornier Jr. of Newark was arrested for possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Dec. 15: Edwin Palomo-Lemus of Somerset was arrested for DWI.
Dec. 15: Dwight Lamont Goode of Jersey City was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Dec. 16: Kimberly Dacres of Irvington was arrested for DWI.
Dec. 16: Peter Dolan of Bloomfield was arrested for contempt.
Dec. 17: Jorge Balseca of Newark was arrested for DUI.
Dec. 17: Khia White of Bedminster was arrested for DWI and possession of prescription drugs.
Dec. 17: Emily Arroyo of East Orange was arrested for outstanding warrants.
