Libraries Aren't Just For Books Anymore

Bloomfield Public Library offers classes in knitting, scrapbooking and writing.

Looking for a place to learn to knit? How about a place where you can learn to write the great American novel? Or where you can learn Scrapbooking?

The Bloomfield Public Library is just the place — a one-stop community center to share your interests and hobbies with like-minded people.

For instance, at the Friday Morning Knitting Club meetings at 11 a.m., new projects and creative ideas are always welcome. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an expert  — stop by and join them.

Beginning Feb. 16 at 11 a.m., scrapbookers are invited to join the library’s Scrapbooking Crop. It’s where a group of scrapbookers get together to work on their projects. Bring your supplies if you have them and a willingness to learn or teach.

For the writer, share your ideas and writings beginning Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. The Get it Write sessions will meet the first and third Mondays each month at 10 a.m.

Do you have a skill or hobby you’d like to share with the community?  Consider doing so at the Bloomfield Public Library. All programs are lead by volunteer community members.
