Terroristic Threats, Stolen Mink and Forgery of Prescription Blanks

BURGLARY
Residential Burglaries
Dec. 22: A man reported two men ran out the back door of his home on the 100 block of Orange Street when he entered his residence.

The men had stolen a television, a Sony camcorder and a PlayStation 2.
The homeowner said one of the suspects was a heavyset man.

STOLEN VEHICLES
Dec. 20: A 2001 Jeep was reported stolen from the 100 block of Spruce Street.
Dec. 20: A 1998 Honda was reported stolen from the 100 block of Willow Street.
Dec. 24: A 1998 Dodge was reported stolen from the 100 block of Davey Street.
THEFT FROM VEHICLES
Dec. 20: A man reported someone entered his car on the 100 block of North Fulton Street and stole a GPS.
Dec. 21: A woman reported someone damaged her parked car on the 100 block of Grove Street and removed a mink coat, a designer handbag and some clothing.
THEFT
Dec. 20: Bloomfield police are looking for two heavyset black men who stole two laptop computers at 135 Bloomfield Avenue. The men cut the wires securing two laptop computers while a female accomplice distracted a worker.
Dec. 22: A homeowner on the 100 block of North Spring Street reported someone stole a metal Christmas decoration from in front of his home.
Dec. 24: Bloomfield police are looking for a man who walked to the counter of a business at 607 Bloomfield Avenue to pay for a soda and reached into the cash drawer and grabbed approximately $240 before fleeing the store.
ROBBERY
Dec. 21: A man walking at the intersection of Broad Street and Maple Avenue said a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and blocked his and a second person’s path.
The man said three black men got out of the vehicle, one of whom was holding a 9-mm handgun and said, “Run your pockets.”
Both victims ran from the scene before anything was taken and the vehicle fled towards Broad Street.
Dec. 23: Five people had their cellphones stolen at 160 Broad St. when two black men approached and demanded to see their cellphones. One of the men claimed his sister’s cellphone was taken when her purse was stolen.
The five people said the suspects made them follow him to New Street and then took their cellphones.
The two suspects then went up a driveway and did not return.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
Dec. 20: A homeowner on the 150 block of Orchard Street reported finding 4 BB holes in his porch window.
Dec. 20: A man on the 50 block of Willet Street reported that two men attempted to enter his soft top Jeep by cutting through the roof.
MISCELLANEOUS
Dec. 20: A woman on the 200 block of North 17th Street said someone flattened her car tire and this is not the first time it happened.
Dec. 20: A woman on the 100 block of Merkel Drive reported the words ‘Happy birthday Defire’ was spraypainted on her fence.
Dec. 23: 300 block Broad St. Bloomfield police are investigating a spraypainting incident on the 300 block of Broad Street.
ARRESTS
Dec. 20: Terrence Hardwick of Newark was arrested for forgery of prescription blanks and attempting to obtain prescription drugs by fraud.
Dec. 23: Richard Karwowski of Bloomfield was arrested for terroristic threats.
