3 Class I Officers Join Brick Police Department

The Class I officers assist with various functions in the community.

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Police Department has three new special officers.

The three officers — Dylan Affinito, John Carlos Mendez Jr., and Joel Herbert — were sworn in as Class I officers on May 8, the township announced, in a ceremony with Police Chief David Forrester and Mayor Lisa Crate.

"Our special officers assist the police department by performing routine traffic details, spectator control, court security and prisoner processing," the police department said in a Facebook post announcing the newly sworn officers. "We welcome our newest special officers and wish them the best of luck."
