Brick Students Invited To Apply For Scholarships

The New Jersey State League of Municipalities is offering a scholarship opportunity to students across New Jersey. Learn how to apply.

BRICK, NJ — High school juniors and seniors from Brick Township are invited to apply for a scholarship offered by the New Jersey State League of Municipalities..

The league is offering three $1,000 scholarships statewide to students who are continuing their education beyond high school through the Louis Bay 2nd Future Municipal Leaders Scholarship Competition.

Applicants must write an essay on the theme "What My Municipal Government Does Best." Full information is available in the application packet.

The competition is open to all high school juniors and seniors from Brick Township, regardless of what high school you attend. Residents who live in Brick but attend schools in other communities should return their application to Mayor Lisa Crate's office.

Applications must be returned to Mayor Crate's office by March 15, 2024. One entry will be selected from Brick and forwarded to the state completion as a semifinalist. The NJSLOM Scholarship Committee will select 15 finalists and 3 winners from the semifinalists.
